Fáilte romhat …& come in

Please, take a moment to settle in  — you’ve arrived at My Guitar. This page brings together the main paths into the project — the writing, the conversations, and the places where the work lives. The layout is simple, so you can find your way quickly and stay with the work itself.

Substack Index

This is a structured index of my guitar writing — drawn from my newsletters and article posts; and arranged so you can move through the themes at your own pace. It gathers the pieces that belong together, without the noise of a chronological feed, and gives you a clearer sense of the craft I’m exploring.

Substack Chat — shared rooms for the work

Chat is where the conversations live. I think of it as a set of rooms — each one tied to a series or a thread of ideas. The first room, The Story of Music Reader’s Room, is open for anyone following the Saturday morning series. More rooms will open as the work expands.

Threads — short ideas and writerly conversation

Threads is where the small things live – quick thoughts, links to new posts, and the occasional conversation with other musicians and writers. I’ll be using it more once the rest of the structure is settled.

Instagram — the social side

Instagram is the lighter, more personal layer: glimpses of instruments, gigs, small moments, and the human side of the project that sits alongside the writing.

Why it’s arranged this way

I want Substack to stay focused and uncluttered. I want social spaces to stay social. And I want a simple structure that lets people find what they’re looking for without noise.

This is simply the structure around the work. The creative life comes first; everything here exists to keep it steady. It’s a map, not a manifesto — which is probably a relief for everyone involved.
